A Mom’s Guide to Mocktails in Pensacola

Dry January sounds boring, but the word mocktail hints at fun and flirty.

Whatever your reasons for opting out of alcohol, you don’t have to sacrifice your social life.

Pensacola offers quite a few choices for moms venturing out to enjoy a cocktail minus the booze.

Tap the Coast

Tap the Coast is a mobile bar service owned by a Pensacola mom, Dannon Byrd. She offers engaging social events such as “Tacos and Tequila” and “Mardi Gras Mocktails” so you can learn to recreate the celebration at home. Every alcoholic choice is available in a mocktail version.

Agapi Bistro and Cafe

I got married at this sweet spot off Scenic Hwy., so the drinks feel like sipping love in a glass. I’m obsessed with the name “Orange You Spritzy” for those wanting a fun cocktail without the alcohol.

Union Public House

There’s a section on the UPH menu dedicated to classy, zero-proof drinks, and one of them is the “Sultry Rythem,” featuring non-alcoholic tequila.

Restaurant Iron

Restaurant Iron’s mocktail menu has tasty options like “Pink Skies,” “The Perfect Pear,” and a “Strawberry Basil Smash”—all super refreshing and zero-proof!

Garden & Grain

My daughter loves to dance outside on the patio at G&G. If you want to be on the scene but don’t want to imbibe, they have a dedicated mocktail section just for you.

86 Forks

Mocktails don’t feel like an afterthought at this chic and cozy downtown spot. Many of the cocktails are offered in alcoholic or non-alcoholic versions. If you love sweet and creamy drinks, you have to try the “Coco Loco.”

Pearl & Horn / George Bistro + Bar

The mocktail selection at these sister restaurants might be the most extensive in town! Pearl & Horn, located on the Westside (Barrancas Avenue), and George Bistro + Bar on 9th Avenue, have a varied selection of “Low & No” beverages, including an NA lager and an NA sparkling wine. I can’t wait to taste the “Zero Proof Espresso Martini.” I have never met an expresso martini I didn’t like!

Whether you’re embracing an alcohol-free lifestyle, expecting a little one, or simply looking for a refreshing alternative, Pensacola’s growing mocktail scene has something for everyone. With creative flavors and thoughtfully crafted drinks, you don’t have to miss out on the fun.

So next time you’re out, raise a glass—no alcohol required!

Rebecca Austin
Rebecca grew up in Michigan but after college decided the Sunshine State was the place to be. She is a music teacher and runs her own yoga business, but being a mom is the most challenging experience on her resume. Rebecca has a spunky 7 year old girl and two step-sons who teach her everything she never wanted to know about video games. She tries to wake up before the sun to get in her daily yoga practice and she loves to blame the kids for going to get ice cream. Rebecca loves writing AND being a mom so this online community is a dream come true. Rebecca is inspired to share about the mind-body-spirit connection, benefits of biking vs. driving, the challenges (and joys) of blended family life, baking, and tips for being an entrepreneur mama.
