Meet Jo Rich
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have 2 boys (Nolan 5, Jackson 8).
What do you do for a living?
I am the owner/operator of Jo Rich Beauty Palafox Glamour Bar.
What do you do to reset and recharge, especially with the craziness of life right now?
One word…NETFLIX. Sometimes it’s just nice to sit in peace and quiet and indulge in a little true crime docuseries.
What do you like about raising a family here?
I absolutely love that Pensacola is still small but we have so many wonderful things to offer! I love that I can take my kids to festivals, baseball games, parks, etc. And of course who doesn’t love living 10 minutes from the beach??
What is challenging about raising a family here?
I think my only challenge about raising my family here would be finding great schools.
What is your favorite local thing to do/place to go?
Wahoos baseball games, arts festivals, and just walking up and down Palafox.
Is there a hidden gem in Pensacola you love?
Hands down Hub Stacey’s downtown!
How can Pensacola better serve you as a mom?
I’d love to see more mom outings or “Moms Day Out” events.
What piece of advice would you give to mothers right now?
Hang in there momma! We all lose ourselves a little when we become mothers, but that spitfire is still in there somewhere! Make sure you take time for her and let her out every now and then!
Tell us about your favorite thing to do in your downtime?
Since I’m a makeup artist I really love to create new looks and just sit in front of the mirror and let my creativity bloom! There is something very peaceful and healing about being creative.Anything else you would like us to know about yourself that makes you uniquely you?
I’m just a small-town Iowa girl now living in a small town in Florida! I’m a band nerd at heart and play the piano and drums as well. I have a deep passion for helping women feel their best and helping them see that they are beautiful. Inside and out!
