Pensacola Mom Collective is thrilled to announce that we, along with our Title Sponsors, Studer Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart and KIA Autosport Pensacola, will host “Bloom 2023” on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

Who :: All Pensacola area moms or moms-to-be {no kids, please, with the exception of those who are nursing}
When :: Saturday, April 15th 2023 (10am – 12pm)

Bloom is geared towards moms, dads, and grandparents who are planning to grow their family, are currently expecting, in their first year of motherhood, or fostering/adopting little ones (ages 0-2 years). This event is meant to support, celebrate, and even spoil you!

Pensacola Mom Collective’s mission is to educate, encourage, and empower families throughout the lifelong journey of parenthood, and we couldn’t be more excited to host an event focused on the important and exciting early years!

MEET OUR TITLE PARTNERS

We are extremely thankful to our title partners, as it is their generosity and support that allows our events to take place! We couldn’t be more excited to welcome 50+ local Pensacola moms and moms-to-be to our celebration of all things motherhood.

The Studer Family Children’s Hospital, at Ascension Sacred Heart is Northwest Florida’s only hospital solely dedicated to the care of sick and injured babies and children. The Children’s Hospital provides quality, compassionate care to children, regardless of their parents’ ability to pay. We offer a wide range of services to meet all of a child’s medical needs, from the area’s only Level III neonatal intensive care unit to pediatric intensive care, cancer care, rehabilitation and a medical staff of more than 120 board-certified doctors, caring for kids across 30 pediatric specialties.

SPEAKERS

Henry Roqué, MD

Henry Roqué, MD, is a maternal-fetal medicine doctor with Sacred Heart Medical Group, part of Ascension. Dr. Roqué is board-certified in both obstetrics/gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine. He provides specialized care to mothers with high-risk pregnancies and has a special interest in treating clotting disorders during pregnancy.

Stuart Shippey, MD

Dr. Shippey specializes in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, or urogynecology. He provides comprehensive management of female pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Shippey is board-certified in obstetrics-gynecology, as well as female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Shippey comes to Pensacola after serving as associate director of urogynecology at the Riverside OB/GYN Residency Program in Newport News, Virginia. Prior to retiring from the Navy in July 2020, he was an associate professor of OB/GYN at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

Amber Price, CNM

Amber Price, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife with Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart. Ms. Price is board-certified in midwifery by the American Midwifery Certification Board. She provides personalized, compassionate
prenatal and follow-up care to women desiring a natural, low-intervention birth experience. Ms. Price has a special interest in education, supporting and
showing women that they can have a home-like birth in a hospital atmosphere. She has more than 13 years of labor-and-delivery experience.

Lucy Scheller, Lead Lactation Consultant / Coordinator

Bloom 2021

Lucy Scheller is the lead lactation consultant and childbirth educator with the Ascension Sacred Heart Maternity and Women’s Center. Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola is designated as Baby Friendly by Baby-Friendly USA, a global program that was launched by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund. This means that local mothers have access to the highest level of breastfeeding support and education available. Ascension Sacred Heart offers monthly breastfeeding classes, specially trained staff to help during your hospital stay, plus a “Warm Line” and office consults after your little one is born.

Octavia (Tavi) Slevinksi, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC

Octavia (Tavi) Slevinski, APRN, is a nurse practitioner specializing in pediatrics with Ascension Sacred Heart. She provides primary care for minor illnesses and injuries, preventive health screenings, routine check-ups, and vaccinations. Octavia listens to understand you and your health concerns, taking the time to get to know you and your family’s health history and create a personalized care plan that’s right for you. As a nurse practitioner, Octavia can diagnose illness and injury, prescribe medication and provide non-surgical care.

Are you a business that is interested in being involved with Bloom: An Event for New and Expecting Moms?  

Even if you aren’t specifically in the mom or baby business but are in support of all things family and parenthood this is a perfect opportunity to participate and market your business. You can donate something with your logo, or add a sticker with your logo to something tangible. We have seen businesses put their logo/sticker on items such as lip balm, lotion, diaper cream, pacifiers, boxes of diapers, bottles, and much more. This is an opportunity to be creative! 

Paper items — such as coupons, marketing info, gift cards — must be attached to a tangible, non-paper item.
