It has recently come to my attention that a number of people think that Easter baskets are something people eventually age out of, like trick-or-treating at Halloween. Well, I am here today to emphatically debunk this myth. Mamas, even though you are an adult, you are never too old for an Easter basket of your own! Goodness knows you’re probably the one making sure the rest of your family’s baskets are full of fun surprises. You certainly deserve to partake in the fun!
I come from a family full of adults who LOVE to fill adult Easter baskets (and stockings at Christmas) just as much as they love tending to those of the children.
As a child, we had almost as much fun seeing what Santa and the Easter Bunny had left for our parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles as we did pouring through our own baskets and stockings. So don’t forget the adults at your Easter celebrations this year.
If you have family coming to join you (thank you, Covid vaccines!), encourage them to bring their baskets. Plan to fill each other’s baskets with fun surprises, even if it’s just you and your significant other. And if you’re the lone adult this year, I am giving you permission to feel zero shame in making up a basket for yourself right alongside those of your children.
If you have your kids’ baskets ready but are in need of some ideas for the adult baskets, look no further. I have you covered.
