Let’s be honest. It has been such a bummer not being able to go out to eat due to the pandemic. However, that shouldn’t stop you from supporting our local restaurants because many places in our area are offering curbside pickup and takeout! Even though we aren’t eating out, we can still make eating in a ton of fun for the whole family. Here are some fun ideas to make your dinner special:
- Create a themed dinner. Buy some fun plates, napkins, and colored streamers. Simple streamers make all the difference when decorating for a family fun night. I did a luau theme one night, which involved a few pink and green streamers. My kids thought we were having a party!
- Have a dinner picnic in your backyard, and enjoy the sunset. (Just don’t forget your bug spray.)
- Get fancy! Dressing up just because can be a lot of fun, especially since these days we don’t have anywhere to go. You can also use “fancy night” as a way to teach your kiddos table etiquette.
