Guide to Pensacola Breweries

Going to a brewery doesn’t necessarily mean going out to drink these days. Several breweries in Pensacola are family-friendly, offering live entertainment and special events. (One of our favorites even has a bounce house for the kids!).

Check out these local favorites!

Downtown Pensacola

Odd Colony Brewing Co.

260 North Palafox Street, Pensacola

Located near the corner of Palafox and Wright Streets, Odd Colony Brewing Co. has become a favorite in the downtown scene since opening in 2019.

They have a wide range of beers on tap with a heavy focus on lagers, saisons, and IPAs. If you’re strolling the Palafox Market on a Saturday, it’s a great place to stop for a cold, refreshing beer or grab a Crowler to go! In addition to their beers on tap, the odd Odd Colony menu includes wine and Big Jerk Soda.

MI SU Street Food is there every Tuesday through Saturday, serving delicious eats!

Pensacola Bay Brewery

225 E. Zaragoza Street, Pensacola

Pensacola Bay Brewery, in the heart of historic downtown, has over 20 beers on tap in addition to wine and cider. Grab a seat in their taproom or bask in the view of Old Christ Church while you sip a Riptide Amber from their covered patio – it’s the best seat in town!

Perfect Plain Brewing Co.

50 E. Garden Street, Pensacola

Created as a “community hub, not just a bar,” Perfect Plain has been brewing beers since 2017. In addition to the numerous beers on tap, Tacos Mexicanos food truck is the exclusive on-site food vendor for Perfect Plain. Who doesn’t love beer and tacos?

However, this Garden Street gem is much more than a taproom. If you’re in the mood for a cocktail, head out back to Garden & Grain or next door to The Well. Garden & Grain provides the ideal outdoor patio setting while The Well transports you back in time to “Old Florida.” Both are perfect spots for a date-night drink before heading to dinner downtown.

The 5 Barrel

121 S. Palafox Street, Pensacola – closed on Mondays

Smack-dab in the middle of Palafox, The 5 Barrel was started by two home brewers with an interesting story and an even more interesting family background! You can read more about their story or, better yet, stop in for a beer, enjoy some live music or play a board game with friends. The 5 Barrel also serves charcuterie and small bites.

The taproom is also a great place to host an event!

East Hill

Alga Beer Co.

2435 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola

As the name indicates, this brewery is named for “Alabama” and “Georgia” (Alga) and recently opened in East Hill in 2021. The beers on tap cover the spectrum from lagers to stouts and everything in between, including the “Neighborhood Beer” made with East Hill Honey.

Alga is also the official headquarters and watch party location for the Pensacola Bama Club/Young Alumni Group.

Ferry Pass

Coastal County Brewing Company

3041 E. Olive Road, Pensacola

With our vote for a family-friendly brewery, Coastal County wins our hearts with its outdoor beer garden, shaded picnic tables, and a bounce house for the kids! Bring the entire family (including the pups!) and enjoy the gorgeous Florida sunshine while sipping one of their delicious beers.

A full menu is available, including appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and a Kid’s Menu!

WIN!!

West Pensacola

Emerald Republic Brewing

1414 W. Government Street, Pensacola

Emerald Republic is our favorite spot on the Westside! The menu includes beer, wine, canned cocktails, Big Jerk Soda, and A Rustyc Spoon serves up a tasty menu from their food truck that is stationed there full-time.

Listen to live music in the garden while sipping one of their dozen beers on tap, or order a flight and sample a few! Trust us; you’ll want to get a Crowler of “Brittle is the Bone” to go!

Gary’s Brewery & Biergarten

208 Newman Avenue, Pensacola – closed Monday and Tuesday

If you haven’t been to Gary’s, you’re missing out! This microbrewery offers 18 beers/ciders on tap and has a gorgeous, family-friendly Biergarten out back where you can enjoy them along with a game of cornhole or Jenga. There is live music on the weekends, karaoke on Wednesday nights, trivia on Thursdays, and Biergarten Yoga on the 4th Sunday of the month.

Truly something for everyone!

Milton

Beardless Brewhaus

5139 Elmira Street, Milton – closed Monday and Tuesday

We can’t forget our friends in Milton! Beardless Brewhaus recently re-opened in a new (and larger!) space in downtown Milton. With over 30 beers on tap, this new location hosts a taproom, a brewery, and an event space. Be sure to check it out!
